In January 2019, David Hopkins became the 8th President and Chief Executive Officer of the Urban League of Greater Hartford. The former CEO of Primary Care Health Services, Inc. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, David was a Senior Vice President at PNC Bank where he structured bond, treasury management and capital markets deals to finance projects for public entities in Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland; led the community development bank for Western PA, Eastern OH and West Virginia; and managed critical project initiatives as an internal consultant to the C-suite executives.

After successfully completing and defending his comprehensive exams in the summer of 2018, he is an All But Dissertation candidate for a Ph.D. in community engagement, advocacy and policy from Point Park University.

He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Guilford and president of the Josh Gibson Foundation Board of Directors. He is also a youth teacher at his church, coaches little league baseball, and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
