Manchester Pharmacy Technician Program

Open to fifteen Manchester residents, ages 18-55.  Urban League of Greater Hartford's Pharmacy Technician training provides students with the foundation expertise in pharmaceutical terminology, filing medication orders, pharmaceutical calculations, pharmacology, pharmacy law, maintaining medication and inventory control systems

and administration and management of pharmacy practice.  This training is a intensive 10-week  (60 hour) program that provides training through lecture discussion and practical problem-solving exercises as well as hands on computer training in pharmacy software.  This program is designed to give students the skills needed to work as a certified pharmacy technician anywhere in the United States and to pass the National Pharmacy Certification test, which is needed to obtain profitable positions in major establishments.
